CENTRIC AIR FAN MOTORS ARE GERMAN ENGINEERED AND MANUFACTURED. CentricAir whole house fans use 1/3 less energy and provide 30% more power than other industry standard fans. These high efficiency fans are rated for 40,000 hours of operation and are made of composite materials with wing tip design for increased performance and efficiency. The precision balanced, acoustically-designed fan blades offer an ultra-quiet operation. Centric Air fans use cloth-lined, acoustic ducting, and a suspended fan motor for noise reduction. Heavy-duty support brackets provide additional support to keep the damper off drywall, further reducing vibration transfer. All Centric Air whole house fans include an R-5 insulated damper that seals off the living space from the attic whenever the fan is not operational. For regions of the country that get extremely cold we offer an optional R-10 or R-50 power actuated cold weather damper.

EASY INSTALLATION WHOLE HOUSE FAN. All our QA-Deluxe and Centric Air models are installed the same way. As long the joists in your attic are typical of most homes (16″ or 24″on-center) there is no framing required. You simply cut a hole in the ceiling (or vertical wall), install the mounting brackets, damper box and ceiling diffuser with a few screws. Then connect the ductwork and support the fan assembly to the rafters in the attic. Finally, plug the whole house fan into a standard electrical outlet.

The cost to operate a whole house fan is about 10% of what it costs to run a typical residential air conditioner. The CentricAir 3.4 whole house fan delivers a powerful (3242 HVI-916 CFM) and requires about 4.5 square feet of attic ventilation. The R-50 COLD WEATHER DAMPER is powered by a commercial grade actuator that is tested to 60,000 cycles. The damper door is insulated to R-50 to help ensure an airtight seal whenever the system is not in use. The damper can be installed vertically or horizontally. Heavy duty brackets provide additional support to keep the damper off the ceiling.
